Privacy Policy

Softstack Research ("we", "us") provides AI-powered market research software. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under GDPR, the India DPDP Act, and CCPA.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, hashed password, workspace details.
• Research content: products, campaigns, surveys, and reports you create.
• Survey responses: answers submitted to your surveys (respondents are anonymous by default; we never store raw IP addresses, only a coarse country code).
• Usage & billing: credit transactions, invoices (via Stripe), audit logs of privileged actions.

2. How we use it

To operate the service: run research agents, generate reports, deliver surveys, process payments, and send transactional email. We do not sell personal data or use your research content to train third-party models.

3. Subprocessors

Anthropic (LLM inference), AWS SES (email), Stripe (payments), and your chosen data providers. Each processes data only to deliver their function.

4. Your rights

You can export or delete all your data at any time from Settings → Privacy & data. Deletion is processed within 30 days. Survey responses are anonymised rather than deleted to preserve research integrity.

5. Data residency & retention

Data is stored in your configured region. We retain account data for the life of your account and 90 days after deletion for legal/backup purposes.
